LIDL have been selling a cobalt steel drill bit set (Powerfix label, 19pcs, 1mm-10mm in 0.5mm and 1mm steps) for about £6.99/€9.50. Yellow coloured bits, in a blue metal case. Less than the price of one single large cobalt bit! Happily drill welds and stainless steel, and just about indestructible.
