Off topic chat about anything you like. Doesn't have to be about XMs (though they will inevitibly come up!). You can even discuss non-Citroens :o in here!

I was glued to this thread last night! Excellent reading. Fantastic fix on the LCD dot matrix display. That'll make mk2 drivers happier!

If I may chime in again with this link of mine: http://citroen.tramontana.co.hu/electri ... el-columns

The dismantling is the same, that's not interesting, only the end. That 3M adhesive seems to me a better solution than any pencil or similar reconstruction.

Russ, have you not seen KEVS or ROBERTS postings which have links to OTHER sites too, on 'how to fix Dot-Matrix's' ?

There's also a couple threads using the 3M 'Z' axis tape which was posted by CHRIS last year and another as far back as 2010 by ANDREW !

Now I've set you up for this evening thread reads on Dot Matrix Repairs, I hope they will be of help ?

I have seen something about a fix years ago, but paid no attention to it as I don't need it!

Got a mk1. 8-)

Clever though.
