Re: Wvo users.. advice please
Im NOT dooing a 100% WVO, there will always be diesel in there too! Ive no time to fart around adding heaters etc.. Just the basics so it will help reduce fuel costs.

Re: Wvo users.. advice please
10-20% dino should do the trick then
I'm looking at one of the fphe type ones that will run just before the filter and lag the filter when the temps next drop below 5' I think. Saves an absolute fortune this veg stuff

Morrison's had an offer of 4 litre tins of veg oil at £1.62 per tin which is very cheap, a smidge over 40p per litre for new oil.
If you're going to put a Xantia type thermostat/filter heated housing on, there is a simple mod that keeps it on all the time rather than the small stat closing off the coolant when it gets to operating temp. All you need is a 10 cent piece. It doesn't do any harm to leave it hot all the time when running on diesel either:

Nigel, Ive got an XM Proper sort of thermostat housing, that, well obviously, does NOT contain a thermostat as its on the back of the 2.1 engine...endorfin wrote:Morrison's had an offer of 4 litre tins of veg oil at £1.62 per tin which is very cheap, a smidge over 40p per litre for new oil.

Cheers Will! VERY long hours, leaving me NO CAR TIME what so ever, and that is NOT an understatement unfortunally...Dieselman wrote:Good luck with the new job, Paul.
