I like no egr! I wonder if you could put up the photos of the car you have Paul? I have only seen the ones on the ebay listing...

That isn't the correct manifold, the EGR has been removed.

The engine is a replacment, obviously it has been replaced with an earlyer engine and prehaps had the Bosch setup swapped across...

Congrats! Does that mean the Dyane is going now? Be careful you might get hooked driving those XM's! Wish you luck with it, add some photo's why not!

Interesting about the manifold and Bosch thing. Mine has Bosch and no EGR, it's a June 1992 car. Therefore Plastic manifold fitted. Charles's 2.1 which was built on the same day as mine, has EGR I think ( could be wrong there... Paul, you fixed it up , you'll know!! ) with the metal manifold and Bosch. However the difference is probably down to mine being an auto and his being manual. There is nothing in my cars history to suggest an engine swap or manifold swap.

Citroën on the web can tell you what it was fitted with originally, although this info is in the subscriber section, I'm afraid. Still, you get one hour for 5 euros and you can download anything during that time. It might be worth it. Unfortunately, schematic diagrams are not available for the XM there.

Auto cars didn't get EGR initially.
