Trip to France 18/03/15

Off topic chat about anything you like. Doesn't have to be about XMs (though they will inevitibly come up!). You can even discuss non-Citroens :o in here!

The cars don't get strapped down anymore, but did used to. Presumably the ferries have better stabilizing now, and the sea was calm. I made sure the parking brake was well on and the car left in 1st gear, needless to say, it hadn't rolled off the end of the ship when I returned to it.

It's possible that the ferries from N. Ireland still do have cars strapped down as the Irish sea is often rough.

Nice day trip out there Will, amazing the amount of multimedia models there, what did you think of them? In the photo'sthey always look a bit diy inside, is it the case?

They were nice cars, but other than the rear picnic tables, no better than a standard Exclusive. The computer fitments definitely appear as aftermarket in look and location.

Other than the rarity value and the colour, I wouldn't bother.

No. Multimedia have a special paint colour, more orange than Wicked red.

Sounds like you had fun Will :P

Id love to drive into france in a classic citroen ;) Do you still see many xm's over there now? That guy i think is looking into the future with open eyes....I can see the xm rising in value as the nostagia bug kicks in in a few years. They will always be more valued i think in france than any other country..being homegrown. If they do go up in value and he's still got them, he'd be sitting on a nice nest egg there :)

I wish i lived suitably close enough to make jolly jaunts across the channel...being up here its a mission in itself just to get to the ferry point

There are about 37,000 XM left in France, so I don't see it making it to classic territory just yet, though the Multimedia are very limited.

Nothing is Mission Impossible, recently I traveled to a remote village in Uganda at short notice.

Yesterday I received a package which was a memento of my trip...

My free GB sticker from Aferry. I expected to be given one at the terminal...

Better late than never as they say.
Looked like a good trip to Uganda there and all for a worthy cause I see, slightly dissapointed you didn't drive though ;)
