Mmm, looks very complicated to me, I'm having enough trouble with the BSI on my 406. The best reasonably priced system i have heard of is the electromagnetic damper control, the fluid contains iron filings and the flow rate can be varied by the current flowing through coil around the constricted area. My son went in a high spec Audi with it, says its brilliant - but then as most Audi's don't seem to have springs at all I suppose by comparison it would be.

A real shame, but it was tested 12 years ago, so you never know.... Either that or Citroens new suspension will be solid shocks and will get dampened seats instead. ERGH! Can you imagine following one, these heads bobbing up and down!

Wikipedia's entry on Bose makes interesting reading. A wealthy company obviously good at marketing themselves, and litiginous too. Products often nothing special, it seems.

So, C6 gone, C5 on the way out.
Just fallen over photos of Peu 608 (launch much delayed?) and the Peu 907 and 908 - the latter pencilled for 5.5L V12 HDi 700cv.

So that's what Peu are up to.
Does anyone know of any Citroen plans?

Diluting and erasing their own brand it seems.
Have you seen the current 'DS' series are now 'DS Automobiles', not a mention of the Citroen name anywhere.

Although, given what an insult the current crop of hard riding, conventionally sprung, cramped French Audis are to the real DS name, I can't say I'm entirely sorry about the progressive dis-association with Citroen.

Don't get me started on the DS brand. I see red!
They simply are not fit for purpose, horrible things, apart from the DS3 which now has an ugly face to it. Shame.
They are all about conquering China. So the much muted DS9 will most likely be Chinese only.

Didn't know that about the pugs. Thought 508 was it for the range topper. Interesting.

Quote from Wikipedia:
"Citroën announced in early 2009 the development of a premium sub-brand DS, for Different Spirit or Distinctive Series (although the reference to the historical Citroën DS is evident), to run in parallel to its mainstream cars. The slogan of the DS car marque is "Spirit of avant-garde"."

Sadly nothing in the Different Spirit series reminds me of the real DS.

And with the success of the MINI, Fiat 500 and VW Beetle I'm astounded that Citroen never went down the same road with a current 2CV

I think the new C1 looks great and will sell well.

Any company has to offer what buyers want to buy, otherwise it will fail to exist. I don't see anyone on here banging on Citroens doors to drop £60-£100k on a luxury, hydraulically supsneded car. If enough people did that, they would make the cars to sell.

The metropolis looked fantastic, but if it went into production wouldn't be cheap.

China is the obvious new, expanding market, so it's not surprising that global companies are concentrating their efforts there. Russia is another one.
