275k is an achievement alright, not hyper mileage but damn good going all the same.

If you can't find the leak clean the pump then coat with talcum powder or flour and run it. The leak will soon be obvious.

Exploded image of the pump. Thre aren't many seals (O rings), one on the rear, one on the front, nose seal, metering head seal, maximum fueling screw seal. A seal kit will contain them all.

It possibly is the Bio-diesel that has ruined the seals.

That's a great diagram, thanks. Believe it or not I have a seal kit in stock somewhere. Can you remove the metering head insitu or does the pump have to be on the bench? Thats the seal I'm worried it might be.

The bio may have helped it on its way but i wouldnt say it would never have leaked if you had stuck to dino juice.

The metering head can be unbolted from the outside with the pump in situe if you create enough clearance.

You might as well heve a look yourself as if you end up with not being able to complete the job, a diesel specialist can put it back together for you. Just mark a witness on the pump support bracket before removal and align it back to that when reinstalling.

I broke it!

Unfortunately there wasn't enough length on the bolts to release the metering head enough to replace the seal and when I removed them the head came away and all of the workings dropped out :(

I'm going to see Paul tomorrow for another pump; I really didn't fancy trying to put it all back together...

I'm still struggling unfortunately.

I tried fitting an injector pump off a 1.9td Xantia which I though would get me on the road but for whatever reason it didn't run properly with it. I got my pump on the bench and managed to reassemble it however unfortunately something has gone seriously awry in that it revs it's balls off when you start it up.

At this juncture I need another injector pump or someone else to take the car on. I'm not sure at the moment which I would rather! Please do PM me if you have a pump that might be suitable or any interest in taking the car off my hands.
