What may alter things then Paul is a Cx! You've driven one already right or just been a passenger in a mate's?

I am really happy after making this thread because I want to know which ca is favorite in the world. My favorite car is Ferrari 512 TR and Mercedes-Benz E-class.
This is my favorite but I want to know about yours.
Really interesting to see so many jumping in to reply to a newbie's question who probably doesn't even know what a Citroen is, or owns one. But we are a tolerant bit, aren't we ?
Sorry if I am all wrong

I thought the same thing Jan but thought what the Hell, it does pose an interesting thought
we haven't all discussed here and the answered posts have been more interesting than I expected.

Another one on the non-Cit side of the scales, I'm afraid --- for me it's the good old fashione Land Rover. No frills, doesn't pretend to be anything it's not, always puts a smile on my face, superbly simple, functional and practical design, does what it says on the tin, classless, at home anywhere etc. etc. etc. Nothing quite like it.

The fact is there are so many varied and wonderful cars available which will always mean there's
something to everyone's tastes/desires/expectations that can be still be oddball and interesting
even to others not so similarly captivated! One man's meat etc...

Did your diesel Jag have a Perkins P6?
Peter
I know it was a Perkins but don't remember the model. Like most of my Jags it cost about £25.00! Lasted about two to three years then I found another.

Against: Rustbuckets, very expensive to repair, very difficult to find a manual, non self leveling suspension (all round), fuel consumption not as good.
Good but not good enough.
Peter
The parts are normally quite cheap, usually significantly cheaper than Citroen parts, but I'll grant you, they do like to rust a bit...
Consumption isn't too bad from the OM605/6 engines./ I'm averaging 40mpg through the slushbox. I think a 250 normally aspirated W124 or W210 with a manual box could crack 50mpg if driven with sympathy.

If only the XM had been a development of the CX then that would be my favorite car. Unfortunately scuppered by the bean counters.
As it is the CX wins, closely followed by or even following a GS. Those and a Jensen Interceptor FF and an NSU RO80. I've never driven a DS but I'd have one just to look at
Modern cars just don't do it for me.
