Ahh yes, all Citroen V6s have that Matthew, it is absolutely lovely

I met a current model BMW M3 today. Nice throaty engine burble...but nothing sounds better than a Xantia V6 exhaust note.
I still can't get over how a car like that can sound so good! And I totally understand why you chaps love the XM engine tone.

purposeful, without being a show off, unlike an M3.

Russ,
Dont mix the Xantia V6 engine with the Earlyer XM PRV V6 engine...
The PRV has no exhaust note, however, blast a PRV and the inlet blurp is very V8 sounding (partly to the 90 deg design), rather then normal 60 Deg V6 engines..

I know Paul. the Xantia is the later V6 and just sounds lovely outside....must admit never been in one......, the XM, from memory at least, sounds like a normal car outside, but inside it has a fruity rumble, this I do know as I have driven one. As you say, very different, but as good as each other!

Can we interest you in a RHD one Will, or is it simply the low miles and LHD that excites you??

Ooooo, it's lovely
Yes, it is. For the perfectionists though it needs a new rear bumper and some work in that area, and also the bonnet has some nasty scratches. But of course, if the price were right that would not deter an enthusiast
