It's more likely friction material deposits or not mounted flat to the hub. Replacement will solve both those issues, so doesn't prove anything.CitroJim wrote:The FCF did go down last evening. Not sure when or when it came back up again...
I'm not saying anything more on the subject of warped discs until I see what happens when the suspect one in question is replaced

BXC keeps dropping off. FCF is working fine though.

Re: Xac hit the OFF Button again on FCF???
It appears to have the arse-ache again this morning. Just managed to pull a backup of the FCF and BXC databases and shortly after it declined to work for me again.
Xac is on O2 and uses dynamic DNS. It seems both are the root of the problem in that O2 are doing an alleged 'upgrade' and his Dynamic DNS provider seems to be having problems with it. My FTP client wouldn't resolve the address this morning and I had to do it using an IP address I obtained using a different method so it's not good...
O2 clearly have no concept of 'if it ain't broke don't fix it'

Hi Jim
Been the same here on my wifes 02, a week of regular drop outs every time you log on.
They have sent a replacement ADSL router foc as their tests showed the old one could not handle the revised system.
Old type was O2 wierless box 11.

Re: Xac hit the OFF Button again on FCF???
The FCF and BXC are down again due to ongoing O2 and DNS issues.. Xac tells me the IP address changes so frequently since the 'upgrade' that the Dynamic DNS provider can't keep up with it and thus a DNS resolution often results in an incorrect IP
