Leave of absence

Off topic chat about anything you like. Doesn't have to be about XMs (though they will inevitibly come up!). You can even discuss non-Citroens :o in here!

Bollocks!

I'm not buying into this self denial - the damned revs are raging as the bloody thing is stuck in a gear lower
than is bearable and what it should be when you're trundling around behind some Korean sh!tbox with the
Octogenarian in brain dead mode aiming for 100+mpg.

It drove me demented to the point I gave it away happily to my father for free.

I'm happy to compromise. I can live with this inconvenience to not have to change gear myself. I don't like manual XMs, and I have driven a few in my time.

Citroening should be "an experience", not a compromise though! ;)

It is an experience! Experiencing numpties trying to save fortunes by buying new Blue motion Polos that have low fuel consumption, only for any fuel savings to be erased because the t!ts are running about at 45 mpg in the wrong gear, with the engine labouring and using more diesel than I am with the auto being in the wrong gear. Thats not even taking into account the capital investment of buying the blasted thing to being with!!

Hi Andrew

Have not had any feedback from the site since I came home, not even updated posts, I think there may be a problem, when did you send it?

Peter

If you click on the link at the bottom you will find my email address.

Easy guys. We're all Citröen fans even if we do have odd likes/dislikes.

Some won't like me saying this but I was unimpressed by the 2.5 and the TCT. Give me a 2.1 or a CR diesel any day. As for autos I can't say, I've never been in a XM auto. The mpg puts me off.

Now if a GSA came along at the right time I may go for one of those as the replacement for the A Class.
