i would hope not too, that ovlov is nearly new!
Anyone ever seen all 4 glowplugs go to an almost dead short to grnd? Lucas ones mind you.
Ive nearly got to the bottom of it now but im getting the intermit faults of vehicle engine and coolant temp out of expected range or something like, they clear but come back. Lexia says the faults are caused by another ecu which is a little criptic and more than a little unhelpfull, its like playing hangman with unlimited gueses when the word your looking for is the name of a welsh village youve never heard of containing 48 letters.

Hi Dean
The glow plugs will have all come from the same manufactured batch.
The ECU you are looking for is the "Over maintenance mileage send a pulse and kill it now ECU".
You will find it has markings in Welsh being made in a village too small to mention on maps.
I see that your belief in the infalibility of the Lexia failed the 24 hour test.
Good luck with the search now you have replaced LOGIC with LEXIA.

well you did warn me John so i cant really complain.
When i hooked it up to the xm i actualy thought it was rather usefull, with the ecu's having limited ability (they only tell you what you need to know). The C5 has so many options and with it being multiplexed i get the impression that a coms fault really upsets the whole car making fault finding a bit of a stab in the dark.
Slightly annoying the Lexia can tell you that the fault on one ecu is caused by another but cant tell you which, may as well sa nothing

Sorted my abs (ish) on the xm this evening with the Lexia, many many faults present, the only one remaining fault is an intermitant fault on the O/S/R wheel sensor although there is no wheel speed signal at all as seen on live data, i would of thought that was fairly perminant myself but...................
All sensors were working when she was laid up so i will have to get a resistance reading from the offending sensor and if its defective get it swapped out although i hope its just because i never pushed the plug above the subframe back together properly when it went back together.
Also does anybody (John if your reading) know what the measurement card is the lexia speaks of when i try to measure voltage etc? is it a bit of hardware built into the genuine lexia laptop or is it software im missing?

Hi Dean
I suspect there was a Citroen LEXIA3 guide and training booklet.
I have one for the earlier ELIT.
That has A4 size plastic cards with function test instructions.
The cards for the XM Bendix are missing but I will scan a couple of others in case they are of interest.
