It's sort of no surprise that I ended up with Citroenitis, there seems to be a common forward thinking design ethos. Whether or not it's my favourite? I was only 3 years old.

Re: Which is your favorite car?
If we're getting all nostalgic then my earliest childhood memory is going for a drive in one of these. It belonged to my Grandfather who always seemed to have memorable cars. Also made in Yorkshire..... must be good.

Jan and Andy
Your getting me going now. The Jowett Javalin was the pride and joy of the man that worked at the gas board, just down the road from our shop, until a woman looking in the shop windows drove straight into the back of it. One of our suppliers had a Jowett Bradford van with a flat two cylinder engine.
A Phase 1 Vanguard, like the ones in the pictures was bought new by one of our neighbors in the early '50s, I started driving in '56 during the Suez crises, because petrol was rationed you were allowed to drive by yourself on a provisional license, a provision I took full advantage of - I did subsequently pass a test though

I agree I had one when I lived in France. Fabulous. Until it was smashed up (not my fault I hasten to add!)

Re: Which is your favorite car?
I imagine you'll have to settle for a LHD, as there're still quite a few around in France/on the Continent. If money had been no object I would've bought a 15k mile mint GSX (almost identical to my old one, but in fat better condition: and in RHD) offered to me a year or so ago... but it was a lot of money (to me)

I'm not sure the ASA would permit such an ad in the UK, but me likes!
