Re: 25 years of the XM!!
CXM is (or was) a CCC event.
The non CCC event at RAF Cosford needs a different name to ensure CCC does not cry foul after all the publicity is done.
"25 years of the XM" seems fine to me.

Re: 25 years of the XM!!
CCC has many officials.
Central officers, Area sections and Car model sections.
All no doubt supportive in their own way of individual efforts in this matter.
But so far on this subject it is reported we have had 3 different views on CXM from 3 different CCC people.
If we want to run it through CCC one of us needs to speak and agree things with the CCC Chairman Brian Drummond.
If it is to be independent then we need to keep everything clear of CCC including the name.
25 years of the XM means holding an event is much more important than under which organisation it is run.

Re: 25 years of the XM!!
But we need to catch XM owners who only look at CCC too...
Thats the hard bit, other wise we only ever get the SAME cars year on year showing up..

Russ will do the flyer.
Ciaran will do a piece in XMinations.
At worst we pay to put it in the Citronian as an advert.

Re: 25 years of the XM!!
Righto,
This event isn't affiliated with ANY other body or club, It's just an informal get together of like minded people. There's a nice cafe with great food but there wont be a PA system or anything like that. It's a case of park up in a big line (or several) take a walk about, chat and have a laugh and tour the museum.
The entry fee will be the cost of the car park which is £3.50 per day, I don't want to get involved with arranging any awards or presentations or anything like that, although if someone wants to take on that role then that's fine with me.
I've advertised the event on other forums and hopefully there will be some classics other than Citroens showing up, although they will be parked separately to the XMs and other Citroens.
Fingers crossed there will be a good turn out of regular visitors to the museum who will appreciate a gathering of classic Citroens (plus non-Citroen guests)
I hope that this arrangement is to everyone's satisfaction, if not it's not too late to change the details at this stage.
