The first day

Today was the first day I've used my "new" XM despite it being about 6 weeks since I bought it. It's been parked on the drive awaiting the V5 from Swansea so that I could tax it. However Swansea knew nothing about the car so I've had to pay the £25 for a replacement.

It's first duty was a trip to the local tip laden with junk, first thing I noticed was the ABS light on but that went off after a few start and stops of the engine and hasn't been on since. I also noticed the car has a bad habit of unlocking itself, then tonight was the first time I've driven it at night, NO PANEL LIGHTS! at all.

So nothing major but could be an interesting Saturday looking at some of these issues.

The green one? I recall it looks like a nice car!

Give the dimmer switch in the kneepad area a gentle wobble as one of mine is an
all or nothing contact!!! Well at least I think it's the kneepad area, maybe it's a
Xantia I'm thinking of, it all makes more sense in front of me!!

The panel light dimmer is above your right knee, i think.

Its more likely to be a faulty switch or fuse if they are all out.
