Hi all

Is there another way to shut it up ????
Thats pissed a few neighbours off

Try turning the ignition on and pressing the alarm button. The key should silence it so suspect the alarm is faulty or has water in.

Iv'e disconnected the battery for now,

You will need to recode the radio if you've disconnected the battery: the instructions were in the glove box, and you have the code.
This happened once with my other XM: you need to do as Dieselman says.

That is drastic
I've had alarm problems like this when the battery charge is a bit low or when I've had the battery out and reconnected it.
The alarm module is above the passenger footwell - black or grey box, about 6"x 4"x 1"- if you unplug it the alarm will stop.

Ahhh , didn't know that one !!

, i tried everything , dunno what set it off even, but the good news is that the bumper will be coming off very soon for a spray up. Soooo i'll fix it up then, either with the old one or a replacement
