Link ??

Don't even dream of buying a DS unless you have someone that knows the cars backwards to check it's hull for you. DS's hide there rust quite well even in Australia. I would greatly fear any car that has sniffed the salty, soggy UK roads. Is it a recent LHD import from Europe (ie: hasn't been well salted). There is no rust proofing at all on DS's, infact the "inside" of most of the box sections are uncoated from the factory (just like most other cars of there era).

From my own experience of running a D Super 5 I would totally agree with Shane. Once the UK salt loving 'tinworm' gets a serious hold on the box sections then you are faced with some complex / expensive welding to restore the structural integrity.

IIRC there used to be someone who restored and sold DS's which were imported from France.

No don't know the car .... But please, please get someone that knows DS's backwards to check it for you if you intend to bid. CX, GS, BX's etc.... show how rusty they are to anyone that casts an eye over them (no matter how little they know about cars). With the DS is very easy to buy a car that's so rusty that it's ready to break in half ........... Yet it's been dressed up with some really pretty panels. Remember every panel unbolts on a DS for easy replacement ... even the roof !!

If I was going for a DS it would have to be a fully dressed DS23 Pallas, they just look so special.
