Going to the Dark Side

For some obscure reason I started to like Macs more and more. Maybe it was the change over to PC parts and the ability to run Windows if needed but last week I took the plunge and bought a used Mac. Upto now it's been painless. I had it in bits the other night to fit a 500GB HD. The lack of clutter is great but you literally pay the price for this.
Do many other forum users have them?
Steve.

Yep! I love'em as much as I do Citroens. I have several iMacs of varying generations, a G3 graphite 466 clamshell
(which I adore) and a dual desktop tower with an Apple Cinema HD 23" LCD display, a couple of iPhones and a pair
of iPods.
Guess you could say I'm brand loyal to Apple but my livelihood depends on them as I use a G5 tower and Apple 30" LCD
for my Graphic Design job.
What machine have you bought?
Andrew

I've a G3 blue and white - which is upgraded to 756MB ram, twin 40gb HDs and it's faster than a two or three year old PC.
The missus has a macbook, I have a macbook and the monster, who's eight , is running one of our old powerbooks. The computers are great, hold their value well and just work, where as the phones are rubbish in comparison.

I've been using Macs since 1990... Now I have a Mac Pro dual quad-core and 30" display. Awesome!
Oh, and we have a venerable eMac that keeps the little one amused...

I went for a iMac 24" 2.8 core2duo with 2GB RAM. A colleague has given me a genuine edition of Snow Leopard and iLife.
The trigger for buying one was probably the short term use of a faulty G5 and the ownership of a couple of iPods and iPhones. I replaced my 3G with a iPhone 4 so passed the 3G onto the wife.
