It's interesting that even though this is a very small internet community and forum, a number of new members have found the forum when buying a car.

I wonder just how many XM we now have between us, as I think it must be over 10% of all cars now left in the UK.

Thinking about this made me look at the VOSA published figures for MOT in 2007.
2454 BX passes
1650 XM passes
226 Cx passes
56 Visa passes
35 GSA passes
9 LNA passes.

Mind, several of us may skew the average...

I'm not counting Will, I'd scare myself!

Roughly somewhere over 20 though and by how much I'm not even trying to guess...
same with the Cx's, Gs's and Xantiae.

Not sure what's the last count with xmexclusive and peter has been thinning down the fleet too though.

Considering just how these can pick up life threatening problems in the hands of people who don't really
understand them (or probably want to understand them?) or want to spend any money on what numpties
perceive as a cheap biffabout car, I find it surprising that 1600 cars were still MOT'd in 2007.

I've no doubt the Scrappage scheme has decimated these figures though and expect a fair amount
probably copped it to get the promised discount off a new Korean shitbox...

Wonder if it's still over the 1k now?

Still plenty more then we have registered!!

Lately up here in North Wales, Ive seen a P reg 1997 Silver 2.5 Hatch, and to day Sunday, passed a Green (I think) L reg SEi or SED XM also an unknown car to me!!

I also know of a 1992 K reg 2.oi White XM on LPG, that lives somewere near, Ive, no, we have flashed and waved at each other when I had my SED on the road... though they have had it some time! Lady driver too...

So I still think there is still a good few more then we think there is.... oh, sometime ago aswell, when my Nan lived in Holms Chapel, there was a black S1.5 in the same village....

Need to get her introduced to this site...

Im HOPING to get the 2.oi Turbo Onyx on the road, seeing as after ALL the false Interest I had, I still have her, so may as well use her, rather then have MOT wasting away....
