Server fault?

Post by Peter.N. » Fri Oct 08, 2010 9:22 pm

Does anyone else have the problem of lack of post notifications from the forum? I am also not recieving saved searches from ebay but am recieving them from other sites, is the problem my end or does anyone else have it?

Hi Peter,
The best way is to see if your PM service is working is by sending a PM to yourself as a 'TEST'
(as I just have and all was well), so if that does not work it's obviously a problem at your end.

I hope that maybe of help :?

Peter,

Sorry I didn't see this sooner, I used to get a notification message in my Email box but not now! I have to look for them in the forum, top left at user control panel bit, and I was missing them for a while at first.

Hi Peter

I don't do saved searches, but I have noticed that whereas messages I received on Ebay usewd to appear in my normal inbox almost at once, it now seems very hit and miss whether they do at all. Also, Paypal notifications have gone from almost instantaneous to about three days, although the paid symbol does appear on Ebay quickly. I also never get 'remembered' for logging on here, but I guess that's a cookie setting or similar at my end.

Mike.

Hi Mike

You don't use Tiscali by any chance?

Those of you who are having problems, are you using Tiscali? I'm wondering if there is a problem there. I am recieving normal notifications from some other web sites but nothing from here since I came back of holiday. In fact I don't seem to be getting as many emails of any sort as I was, although there were 220 when I came home :o I have checked the settings on here and they are OK. My son who is also on Tiscali says he is not recieving ebay notifications either.
