Declare it Dead !

Off topic chat about anything you like. Doesn't have to be about XMs (though they will inevitibly come up!). You can even discuss non-Citroens :o in here!

Its good to see someone is attempting recovery, though I can't speculate on why its taken this long (its only one table).

With regards to this site, I think irrespective of the future of Club-XM, as per earlier comments, it will be here to say. Be that as an alternative to a newly built Club-XM or simply a different site, I do think the issue regarding ownership and guarding of data and technical resources remains.

If the old forum is resurrected can it be set so that you cannot join or post anthing and thus just becomes a source of data to be referenced to from this new forum when required. Oh and talking of this forum - is it possible to add a spell checker for posts.

The problem with the old forum, is that we have no control over the management of it or the back end server it resides on, which is what spawned the whole issue unfortunately. What the owner of the old forum intends to do with it (if anything) is a mystery at this moment in time.

Regarding the spellchecker, very good idea, its worked very well on a few other forums I use. I'll look into that this morning when I manage to get around some of these spammers...

I'd love an XM with automatic correction. No more problems and bills just great motoring.

Don't hold your breath, but I see that club-xm is available again by the 'backdoor'. Now's the time to copy those self help files, etc, that you wish you had saved.
