I wish Citroen would actually bring some of these concepts into production.

The last one they did, the Survolt was a stunning looking thing!

If they do launch anything it won't have hydraulic suspension anyway!

Citroen have already confirmed that the C5 Exclusive and the C6's will be the last production Citroens to have the hydraulic suspension.

The director of Cit UK confirmed it by email to someone on the CCC when they were in communication with them about their C6 apparently.

So coil springs only from now on! Shame really, the end of a fantastic era.

They will probably switch to using air suspension as it's cheaper.

The metropolis is scheduled for production in 2012, so it will be interesting to see what is used on that given it's flagship status.

Hopefully they will stick with springs, air suspension gives an awefull ride.

Both of our Range Rovers have air suspension.

The earlier one isn't as good as the 2008 one. The ride on the 2008 Range Rover is on par with the XM even with it's 20" wheels.

yeah, we had a P38, the ride was ok but it made a meal out of some road surfaces, jiggling about when really it shouldnt of, and the old classic didnt make such an issue of it riding on springs. It did do the job though in letting you adjust ride height.
Never been in a newer one though.

Our P38 is a bit clattery over the bumps....

Well, it was, we've just overhauled the air suspension on it with new bags and seals and I've not been out in it yet since it was done. The L322 with the TDV8 is wonderful. It behaves well on all sufraces and doesn't corner like a 2.5 ton 4x4 when pushing it either.
