We are holidaying in Brittany next week and I am hoping it might be possible to visit the Citroen factory at Rennes, 'Home of the XM'. Has anyone been and/or have any advice about how a visit could be arranged? With thanks and regards, Matthew T.

Never been Matthew, but would love to visit.
It might be worth while seeing if a group trip could be organised, either through the CCC or XM forum.

Excellent, I had not seen that before. That is quite something seeing all those new XMs, the last ones to be built. I wonder how many are RHD.
Im quite interested to why they seem to have stacked C5 bodies one ontop of the other and then appear to be putting them into a crusher

Strikes me as an odd way to build them! Maybe the forklift driver disliked Citroens new car

Looks like the first bodyshells were wrong ...
Im in France at the moment and shall be driving from Sarlat-la,Caneda to Calais on Saturday. If it had not of been a fair trekc I would have liked to go over to Rennes just for a look.
If you do get there Matthew, some good pictures would be nice

So if there was that many XM's in the factory in 2000, where the hell did they all go, they should still be some registered way into 2002....!
Must have been a fault on the C5 body... thats interesting that...

It wouldn't be a fault with the body, just the first few hundred are test pressings to get all the bugs ironed out before full series production.
That doesn't look like many cars for Worldwide supply.
