Just seen a BBC news clip so I thought to see if its on You Tube yet ?

Note that the /\ theft was on 6th June and they went back for a second helping on 1st October when they got caught, its a bit pathetic that Asda and the Police didn't bother following up the first strike

Link to the
FULL story.
I also found the
SUN report/article about it !
The Sun wrote: Devlin and Egan, both from Manchester, claimed they stole because their benefits were cut.
But ALWAYS still enough money available for the Fag's (Unless they've been nicked)

LOL.. OMG, the hydraulics DONT WORK!! The car is a bit.. um "Slammed"
These lesser Citroens.. Poor little ZX.. Looked to be a DERV too, not a Petrol.. Irritates me a little these days when everything gets Stereo Typed to being "Petrol"

But their plan came unstuck when their blue Citroen ran out of fuel and they were forced to push it to the supermarket’s petrol station.
The women then paid to fill up before driving off – unaware that the whole fiasco had been caught on security camera.

Must have been a hell of a lot of booze, the rear of the car is on it's haunches!
Disagree about it being a derv though, when a diesel runs out it takes a lot to get it started again after refuelling whereas with petrol you can usually start it fairly easily.

ASDA pumps are pre-pay, so you can't drive off after filling.

Will !
I'm going to have to disagree with you on this /\ as this is NOT true !
IIRC correctly ASDA @ Long Eaton and Sinfin do operate in this manner, BUT I can assure you that the BIG ASDA super store @ Spondon you have a choice of paying by your bank Visa card whatever (24/7) directly at the pump and the other/usual 'Self service' method and pay at the kiosk, if your ever passing Spondon/derby call into this ASDA to find out !
But to save you time/fuel you can see a Blue car (Just to the right of the security van) about to pull up at the kiosk in

Also today, just been on
BBC news 24 the following :-
BBC News wrote:Rose Devlin, 59, from Manchester, was caught on CCTV wheeling the drinks out of the Oldham store in June.
She had previously admitted stealing goods from two separate Asda stores at Manchester Crown Court.
She was given eight month sentences - suspended for 22 months - for each charge to run concurrently
Apparently in court she stated that "That I'm extremely sorry " !
However after the hearing (Outside court) it was reported that she stated to reporters "that she wasn't sorry, because of all the media attention it had caused"

Having just re-watched the video I can see the payment kiosk, so this one does have that facility.
