S1.5 1993 K reg 3.oi 12v Auto with single point gas system.
Wow, next to the 24v this has to be THE XM to have in my opinion, and getting pretty rare!

Yes having BOTH the 24v S1 and 12v Auto is a nice thing to have, and hopfully a 2.1d comming soon (Thats all EARLY engines here then except 2.oi N/a)

The Turbo is the one most likly to be prefered to go in ALL honesty, my V6 is in a very used sorry state, but if someone is willing to spend some time on her she has been the best!

I know not getting a V6 xm now will be one of those decision's you regret later, but i just dont have aywhere to store one at the mo or the money to do anything with it, with a house on the horizon, one day 8-) .

Was talking to my dad the other day, he's bought a Triumph stag recently and there are sooo many of them around and for sale, yet try finding a MK 1 V6 XM for sale............they are going to be rare/expensive cars in years to come me thinks.

Replace that BX of yours with a XM! You know it makes sense, keep your CX company!
Hi Robert, it's funny you should say that - I'd love an XM but for myself it would have to be a series 1 or 1.5 in a light colour with a petrol engine converted to autogas. Preferably a higher spec SEi type.. so it's a bit specific!

I am biding my time though..

It should be remembered that my BX is a Mark 1 BX and hence, the coolest of all the BXes ever 8-)

It is however, up for sale at present - provisionally sold too- if it wasn't for DVLA not returning the V5 for the last change to my name. I think it's time to call them..

Aerodynamica,

I have a choice for you.... A S1.5 1994 M reg 2.oi Turbo with Gas injection... (Black) awaiting a heart transplant to make her perfect
OR A S1.5 1993 K reg 3.oi 12v Auto with single point gas system. (green, scruffy) T and T'd but needs work to make perfect.. grab me while im in the mood, you may get a bargain ! ;)

Paul
Hey Paul, now that second one sounds tempting though for an XM I'd tend to go for a multi point system. What sort of consumption does the 3l do? I can get the MPG of my CX as low as 16mpg if I gun it but it'll do around 20-22 if i chill, physical mpg on gas. The BX incidently will do 36mpg on gas which equates to about 72mpg cost wise!

As much as I'd love an XM, it will have to wait sadly...

The Turbo CAN do about 22 on LPG, which is about 43 equivilent !!

The V6 - she can do about 20 on the gas, makin it about 40 mpg.. but drive her well over 80 mph and it can drop down to high 30's...

Ill get in touch when the Black car is ALL READY to go...

Hi guys,

I've been working hard to implement a 'Garage' system, which is a specialised section that will allow you to add records for each of your vehicles, upload pics, engine details, modifications, etc etc etc
Unfortunately I've run into a few issues though and its taking a bit longer than expected, so in the meantime I've created a 'Members cars' section under General there, as I know a lot of people are keen for more of this type of thread :D
