I've tried and it does work. Always tried with the wheel oposite to the driver though.

Let me see if I can get you some pictures...

Only just seen this thread!!

Ouch that's bad luck Andrew!

Fingers crossed you can get it all sorted and get her back to her former glory!

It was me who got the trailer nicked, unfortunately nothing has ever come of it. Had to replace the thing in the end which was an un-needed large expense.

Hi David, very grim losing your trailer - mine's well worn visually and certainly not galved like yours
and I'd be totally devastated were it to be stolen by Gippo scumbags as you believe yours was
- especially from outside your house. That must still hurt! Have to think the extreme retribution of
amputation of the thief's hands would still be too good for some bast@rds out there - not cheap to buy
once let alone replace a second time. :x

The remaining issue I have on KYAC is the distressed rear wing and I'm having hassles undoing the
inner swivel joint on the inboard end of the track rod but I guess it could've been a lot worse. Some
idiot has now smacked the nearside inner tail light where the car is parked on my trailer for no
apparent reason and it's in the back of beyond too and can't have been an "accident" either. :(

Andrew,

How is taking the trailing arms out compared to on a CX?

Eventually changing the bearings will be something that will plague XM owners.

Good luck with the rest of the repairs.
