Funny you should find this Vince, last summer in Cornwall we had a place which had Sky I think, anyway it had the Renault TV thing which was showing a prog on the R5. Unfortunately I never got to see it!
Cool car the R4. Got some nice illustrations of these!
I will enjoy this.

A super link, Vince. Thank you.
I got my first R4 in 1976 when I was 21 and it was 10 years old. My first journey in it was to drive it from my parents home in Gloucestershire to Durham where I was a student. It was a bit of a grot box to be honest and I sold it eventually to an Australian back packer who paid for it with travellers' cheques; I think I got £100 or £110 pounds for it. Its replacement is now even rarer,a Renault R10 and that was great fun in northern winters being rear engined! I had a couple of other R4s over the next few years and would jump at the chance of another one now.

There is a lovely red one for sale on car and classic I think. They rarely pop up now.
Near to us, there is someone who has an early 5,4 and 4 van. Love to meet them!
A very good family friend had a French one, she worked in France as a teacher and when she moved back to the UK, brought here R4 back. To this day I remember going in it. must have been 6-7 years old!
