Off topic chat about anything you like. Doesn't have to be about XMs (though they will inevitibly come up!). You can even discuss non-Citroens :o in here!

A good day !

Post by colinxm » Tue Aug 11, 2009 5:17 pm

Hi all, I've finally gotten something to smile about. Today I replaced the white plastic "clip" on the n/s rear window mechanism so now all the electric windows work. I also fixed the central locking by replacing the locking mechanism in the passenger front door - this hasn't worked consistently for over a year now and finally I fixed the faulty fuel guage by following Peter.N's tip about re-soldering the red connector plug on the instruments - thanks Peter :D

A good day indeed  :D (wonder what tomorrow will throw at me :? )

Good work Colin.

Sounds like you've fixed a number of those niggling things that, when fixed, actually make ownership so much more of a pleasure. :D

As we all sit here now Colin, your car sits there plotting it's next moves in a bid to outfox and confuse you...

Dunno yet, it's teeming down outside and I just don't have the heart to play with it now  it doesn't even try to fire so I'm guessing something to do with fueling - Bloody Bosch pumps ! should have had the Epic repaired ;)

i would of thought its something simple, maybe loose fuel line and its run back to the tank overnight? im sure you will have it sorted in no time ;) .
besides you would only be out enjoying yourself it it ran perfectly all the time and who wants that

It's just a thought but with all these ECU's, Chips and computer bit's and bob's, maybe the XM's sit out there at night logged into our Forum, read our fix's, and just to screw with our minds plan the little misshaps we encounter next day. :D :D :D
