Worth their weight in gold?

Today's Daily Telegraph Motoring section has a Future Classics article with the above title suggesting that Subaru Imprezas, Peugeot 205GTIs and Citroen XMs in good condition are ones to watch in terms of value appreciation.

Quote: "Values of the XM (for many the last 'real' Citroens) have remained rock-bottom for a long time, perhaps caused by fears of their complexity - but big Citroens are market favourites, and with the older DS and CX models now hot property, it won't be long before the XM joins them. Diesel estates, V6 hatches and plush Exclusive models are the most sought after." Unquote

I see Robert Smart echos much the same opinion in the article.

It's interesting that the V6 Exclusive is the most common model left. after VSX.

Interesting. I was hoping the guy would give me a heads up on it appearing in print.

Can you ask him for a copy of it...and while you're at it, correct the duff information about which models are the best to own...

Here is a V6.24 with that chainmoster ZPJ4 engine here in the netherlands. Owner will scrap it if not sold, which is a pity IMHO.
