Philibusmo's a member here too!
There's nothing wrong with the website name - Citroen XMs are well into autosh*te territory!
There are a few of us XMers on that website.

Hey, is this not the XM that had changed multiple hands round about last summer? I think Charles had bought it too? I had been wondering of its whereabouts, it dissapeared... for a while!

Hi George, N310 BDP 'tis the one !
Here's the
MAIN thread as it did the rounds plus
THIS one too !
It just goes to show
'What can lie beneath' on what looked like a reasonably well maintained vehicle until the
botched areas are revealed after a thorough MOT was been carried out on it
Images courtesy of 'Philibusmo' on the Auto-$hite forum.
Why oh why do folk bodge things like the /\ instead of doing a proper job, if they haven't got the skills/equipment to DIY they can always pay a garage to do it (I suppose that's the main problem £'s) some folks will bodge things up and then move the problem on to someone else
But at least it landed this time in the hands of a owner with excellent welding skills as it may have has a different fate awaiting for it otherwise ?
Good luck
Philibusmo with getting it welded up/MOT'd and hopefully back on the road soon !

Hadn't been aware of the existence of this forum. The contents of the thread go way beyond
XM 2.1 Rust
Fun to read, if you have the time, and somewhat comical now and then

the rust is the updated part - many threads are long and blog like and are of the history of a car in someone's ownership - the thread title is often updated to show a change or progress.
... it's a forgotten part of the internet and those of us who inhabit it prefer it that way ...
