I really do wonder how I ever found time to work five days a week and I'm even now struggling to find the time for four days a week!

It'll be three days as soon as I'm no longer having to support my girls but that may be some way off

My birthday was a great one and was rounded off with a lovely meal at a Caribbean restaurant with my girls. The girls paid but then Sian announced her car was nearly out of petrol and she was stony-broke after her holiday in Magaluf. Cue dad saying stop at the next petrol station and I'll fill it up for you.

Which I duly did. Luckily it does not take a fortune to fill up a Nissan Pixo....

So, on that basis alone, retirement will be no time soon... Sian has still two years at University...

I've been waiting 19 years for them to wash up after dinner so filling my car up seems a remote possibility! Still, given the choice I'm sure they'd prefer to fill the C1 rather than the Activa

Rounded off my birthday celebrations today by cooking up one of my special curries. Chicken CitroJim

It's one of several signature dishes I do...

It's a belter - in more ways than one..
