1994 2.5TD VSX Silver Hatchback F/S, Gumtree/Ebay/Autotrader

Is that VSX sticker a genuine Citroen thing or just dealers being creative? There's a car on Ebay at the moment which looks like Exclusive spec with alcantara seats with sticker saying Exclusive in exactly same place.

From what I understand Exclusives were available to order without leather for those who didn't like it.

Heres the answer:-
xmexclusive wrote:Hi Topcat

I have some recovered Exclusive badges somewhere in the heap.
May take me a while to find them.
Citroen only ever fitted these badges to the front wings ex factory.
The ones on the tailgate are owner/dealer retro fits.

How many badges do you want?

John
Hi John, I was looking for one to put on the hatchback where for some reason Citroen badged up the SX and VSX models for identification as standard (but not the Exclusive models) or possibly two (Then that one would be for a spare), however I'm not too desperate as the ones on the wings are present !

I hope that is of help ?

For the record :-

1) All UK market Exclusives were S2 models were generally ordered/suplied as saloon models (However the very few Exclusive Estates were powered by a 3.0 V6 Auto/combo) all other S2's were only available in SX or VSX spec. guises !

2) Very early Exclusives had the seat fabric as the one above (M451 EWK) upholstered in main to the base/back panels in Velour whilst the side bolsters were made from Alcantara !

3) Later Exclusives then changed to the Grey leather/Alcantara combo, to the base/back panels in Alcantara and the side bolsters in Leather !

4) The ALL leather combination generally in Black (But also was available in Cream as factory special order only) was an additional cost to the basic/standard ex-factory VSX/Exclusive models only (All engine variants except 3.0 V6's Auto's) !

5) The 3.0 V6 Auto's had the Black Leather as standard spec. for both Estates and Saloons (The Grey Leather/Alcantara was a no additional cost option on the 3.0 V6's Saloons only) !

I hope that is of help to both of you ?

:)

XMX you are a gentleman and a scholar, or a very smart forum help bot ;) Either way thank you.

While we're on the subject what was the situation with S2 models and electric seats/heated seats/electric armrests?
- Some cars seem to be equipped with non heated full leather seats. Would those be VSX cars only?
- I'm yet to see a cream interior car with heated seats. Were the cream leather seats always non heated?
- Were the Grey leather/Alcantara combo seats always non heated?
- Leather armrest, I'm guessing that VSX's with full leather upgrade wouldn't come with electric armrest and Exclusives always had them?

Thanks in advance.

This interior is hot. Looks like a darker tone of usual cream leather and the leather itself presumably is what they called grade 1.
