But why did they have to paint it GREEN?

"...must see whether they can do it in white."

Just had an answer back from Otto today: No, each model is produced in just one colour.
Am I brave enough for a 1/18 strip and respray?

The red one is the multimedia special edition Chris. Would have been nicer if it was silver. Or a mk1 8-) they might, just might do a mk1 24v.

Thing is with OttoMobiles, you need to join their club to get it at those cheap prices. Only sold in tiny limited numbers, and most are sold to model shops or model car dealers. So they end up on ebay at ridiculous prices. :(
The detail is amazing though.

When I bought mine, I inquired before whether a one-off purchase was OK with them, I had never planned to be a regular customer. There was no objection at all.

Hi Russ, yes as stated by djg you can get at this price. Just sign up (free), and input your details :)
I got it at that price but with postage it came to €65.

Previously, I think it was more complicated and you had to join the club, as you said, but it was much more straight forward now; I previously joined the club, but had to re-register to get this. Seems they have changed their system.

 Thanks for the link.

I infact already have 6 of these. Yes I know overkill! But they are different colours. I have a white one, mandarin, vega Green, two different grey ( one with working LED lights...that was an experiment.... and one about to go either sable or gold. They are quite crude models, but they are very accurate. They look great with a bit of 'improving'. :D

I like the way the plastic windows have yellowed - just like the headlight fresnels, and probably for the same reason! :(

Actually Chris, they are meant to be tinted a sort of green colour. So that one is fine.
