Interesting dash trim!

Post by MTXM » Mon Mar 16, 2015 12:11 pm

I spotted these on another mobile.de advert and I wondered whether the extra stick-on wood trim was genuine Citroen? Regards, Matthew T.

I think its after-market stuff Matthew. I have seen ads selling these kits before on e-bay.

I don't know about the XM, but for the Xantia, similar stick-on wood kits were available from dealers, along with the tail blazers, luggage nets, plastic headlight protectors etc.

I don't think any of these can be found on service.citroen, as they seem to delete accessory items very quickly.

Which reminds me, does anyone have a picture of an XM hatch luggage net? I have a Xantia net, but it does not seem to fit the XM very well.

Yuk, that's not nice. I have a French mag with a V6 featured in it and that has fake wood plastered all over it. Even round the warning light strip like above. Citroen got it right from the start. No need to 'improve it'!

Mine had this when i bought it, fcsh so i presume it is a dealer option, it was removed before the ink on the logbook was dry, waiting to board the ferry home.

I remember seeing a S1 car for sale in the UK a while ago with the wood bits around the air vents Dean now you mention it. With regards, Matthew T.

Just Google for "Citroen XM dash trim kit", there will be plenty. I wouldn't be seen dead in a car like this. [emoji2]
