:? Positively sinister.....Probably popular with the American gun lobby.
Don't let B*or*s J*hns*n know anything about this, or he'll go any order a whole load of 'em.

I was thinking about it, and novelty / 'cool' factor aside, I can't come up with any valid, legal reason why a private individual would ever need one of these.

That said, it's a free country / world (well kinda), and people have the right to buy whatever they please, so long as they use it responsibly.

But with something as lethal as this, you know it's a disaster waiting to happen.

Just wait until some disgruntled college kid gets their hands on one and it'll make the likes of Columbine seem like a joke.

Like you say, very sinister Chris :?

If this device wasn't so appalling, it could be laughed off.
The advertising for it includes suggested uses...entertainment...fun with friends...clearing snow...dealing with insects..."lighting a bonfire from the other side of your yard"...
Only America could do this.

And the buggers are asking for 'crowd funding', so they can put it into production. A mere $700 is asked for up front.
Fortunately, the world's press have gone viral on this, but you should read what the rednecks are saying..."Can't wait!"...and hoping the regulatory authorities don't get there first. Should do well round Columbine and Alamaba, as you say.

Oh dear.

I think their server must be overloaded Jan.

The link was to a company that is producing and marketing a 'legal to own' flamethrower for civilians, called the XM 42.

A bit mad.
