Evening all....Apologies im not often on here like i used to be....its not through a loss of love or anything...I just don't get onto the laptop much like i used to. In my new job im on a computer all day crunching spreadsheets etc and typing emails, so the last thing i want to do when i get home around 8pm is fire up a computer
Anyway....even though the weather is tipping it down outside its fair to say that the bitter cold of winter seems to have left us now so we can all get on with playing with cars again
With spring semi-sprung, i got a call a short while back for a job to give a new customer's 1974 DS the Pallas treatment

The car is down near stoke so ive got an early start tomorrow to get down and get it done in a single day turnaround. Should be an enjoyable day as the owner also has a 2CV so is a true enthusiast of the marque....Not sure if he is expecting me to turn up in the xm but it may give a good chance to get a group picture
Thank the lord its not black either! I do so many black cars that its become a treat to do s different colour

Its a mid blue colour car with a white roof from what i could tell and doesnt appear to be in too bad condition as you'd expect i suppose from an enthusiast owner. Either way, I'm going to enjoy the cruise down in my xm, which apart from needing some new glow plugs (which i'll put in when i get paid next month) and a coolant level sensor seal (which I've improvised with a bit of elastic band for now) as its weeping the odd drop still, the car is running like a dream and is handling the daily commute with ease. And then enjoy playing with one of my most favourite cars of all time
Im hoping he knows other club members which is likely as id still love to work on an early cx, gs, sm, dyane or ami...that would make my day again i think
I'll stick some pictures up once ive created a gallery for it in my new Pallas site. (Still got plenty to do on that too)
Hope you are all well and if your on the M6 tomorrow morning keep an eye out for the yellow headlamped xm heading south around 8am
