MOT fail notifications

Has anyone seen a note like this before and can advise on what it means. It's not my car.
I'm curious as it was on a low mileage car and wondered if it was indicative of accident damage. I also wonder if it could be as simple as a bent over jacking point, but that seems a bit of a long shot for a failure.
"Offside Front Body or chassis is damaged, seriously affecting its strength within 30cm of the body mountings (6.1.B.2)"

That is the new generic statement which cover everything from poor repair to rust and everything in between Will, if its new it could be the car has grounded on something pointy and holed a chassis rail or other structure in the body. I had this on one of our vans recently and it was a 40mm hole drilled through the chassis to run aftermarket wiring.

That sort of comment PHYSICALLY needs a Hole in the area anywhere around a subframe mount or seat belt anchourage area...
My MOT man says a Cill can be - or floor area, dented etc but as long as there is NO hole it is not a weakening,,,

This remark goes back to about 2008, iirc. It seems odd to me as it's not listed as corrosion, but damage affecting the vehicle structure.

Is this a proposed purchase that is to be made and the mot history has thrown this up? Don't answer actually.
I would check the area thoroughly if so Will.

It's not a proposed purchase, just something I've come across, which I thought was strange, as it is a very low mileage car.
