Chrome Strip

Post by Eddie nuff » Sun May 29, 2016 7:50 pm

Has anyone tried these? Main worry is whether the chrome strip would fold around the contour of the strip on the car.

I think Russ tried this fix Neil and there is a problem with the shape of the bumper as you suggest! Regards, Matthew T.

I haven't actually. I only used the chrome tape which worked very well, but the corners don't work with it. Would be interesting to try this chrome strip, but I suspect corners might be an issue too.

Could do with a couple of strips of chrome if anyone has any hanging around. One from the door and one from the corner of the bumper. Each one about a foot long would be nice. Condition of chrome is immaterial, it's the base I'm after as an experiment.

No rush, National will do fine. 8-)

As mentioned before Neil I could probably let you have some better bumper chrome strips that I will bring to the National. Regards, Matthew T.

Thanks for the offer Matthew, but my intention is to see how easy it is to make the strips, hence why I want a couple of throwaway strips to experiment on.
