Often wondered what your facilities looked like Matthew. Very organised!
The one feature I want in mine is a pit ...oh and and a level floor!

I think BLY was sitting on the other side of the garage when I visited, engine and box were out for the first time.
Many thanks Andy and that is well remembered! The other car inside is a late 12v auto with an engine and box removal and box overhaul required that was meant to be my winter project! Regards, Matthew T.

Thank you Russ and yes I certainly agree that a pit or two would be nice! With regards, Matthew T.

A lift is far more useful and convenient than a pit.

A lift is also a great thing to have Will I agree, but what happens if you need access simultaneously from above and below, such as when removing an engine? I think I am also more likely to be able to afford and install a pit! With regards, Matthew T.

Have both

The pit gets more use as it is quicker to put the car over. That said the luxury of having the car at the height you need is bliss.

I will take a couple of snaps of my garage next time I am over. I can't compete on the amount of spares Matthew has amassed but am well equipped for most jobs.

You are a lucky man to have both forms of access Rob and yes please do post up some photos of your garage! I now realise that my shots do not show the numerous bumpers and nose cones etc. hanging between the roof beams!! With regards, Matthew T.

Wow. That's really impressive Matthew. Looks like proper XM cave... just wandering how many years it takes to get to that level of 'xmohilics' ? :]

I would love a lift, just haven't got the roof height... need an Xm shape recess on the roof really!

Well that's better than nothing. A floating about Xm, like a helium balloon, would be a huge frustration... try working on that!
