If its full blast it will be the transister board..

Check more then just cills.. boot floor chassis legs.. outriggers under the car behind the front jacking points.. floor box sections under the B pillar area and dont nust look prod! Ive seen them now where the underseal shape is still there but the metal behind it has vanished! !

Sitting ten years does NOT stop the rot at all... they can be worse for sitting!

I hope i dont offend to many purists but the car cosmetically is going army camo for help for heros as we have searving family a wounded vetran friend and my dad did 24 years in the reme
(This is not a sob story by the way just a apology for how the cars going to look on the outside lol)

I have a scrapper here in Liverpool, depending what parts you need...

I also have a J plate 2.1 SED manual which runs great, I drove it back from the south coast of England, it even has working cruise control.
The MOT is up in January and it will need some welding, but not a great deal. I'm looking for £400 for it.

If you want to come over to Liverpool and have a look at a good working example send me a PM.

Ray.

I'm not a purist, but it does seem a shame to change the identity and originality of what is a pretty low mileage 2.1 SED manual.

I could probably find you another XM to use that has MOT, which would be a more suitable candidate for your run as it's less significant in terms of XM appeal.

Can you please let us know the state of the car you have.
