I am now pleased to report that my rhd 1990 V624v, the 'Scotland car', also affectionaly known as the 'tank', passed an mot yesterday with no advisories! After previous tests there was some sill and rear subframe welding and complete back end re-piping, so I would not have been surprised if work was required, while the car was last used in November 2015. Not bad for a 26 year-old XM that lived north of the border for the first twenty years of its life! To be fair the car has only traveled 125,000 miles and I find I have added just over 10,000 during my ownership since 2010. The car is also running and driving well after a recent oil change and new plugs, although there are a few small jobs to do that include removing and lubricating the clutch cable and the action has become rather stiff. The 'Germany car', which coincidentally also has around 124,000 miles, is now enjoying a well-earned rest after visiting Holland for the ICCCR in August. Regards, Matthew T.

I do mean on the two LHD cars. That was the only picture that opened. Now the reverse is true, the other picture has opened, but not the one of the LHD cars.

As much as I like the gold car you have, probably for the colour, the 'Scotland' car is the one I would have off you because it just looks 'right'.

Understated and original - a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Many thanks Neil and I am very keen on platinum, while I also prefer the original understated look! The simple clean lines do nicely conceal the raw power of the S1 24v!! With regards, Matthew T.

Platinum 24v looks superb! As does the black lhd car, is that a non metallic gloss black?
