I was browsing ads for LHD V6 pre-97 XMs and was surprised to see this one's interior. It's a 1996, but it has rotary controls for the heating and ventilation. I would have expected to see push button electrically operated heating and ventilation on this age of XM, with rotary controls limited to the early years. What can people tell me about this model of XM? Might it be a basic model which does without some equipment? I like this one's interior. The cloth seats look very plush. I prefer this interior to a black everything interior, which many V6 XMs have.

In the 95, 96 and 97 model years the PRV V6 auto was available as Exclusive or VSX versions for the French market.
From 98 model year onwards the ES9J4 V6 was available as Exclusive or SX versions for the French market.

Not that basic, considering the electric seats. Only with manual, not automatic A/C. Mine looks the same in the clothing, although with digital A/C and manual transmission. It was called VSX on the continent but the UK nomenclature was slightly different.
