I now this may be a very long shot, but I do not suppose anyone has a glass model they might be prepared to pass on! Until this evening I did own an example, which is now in about twelve pieces having fallen onto a brick floor - sob, sob!! I am happy to pay a good price! With regards, Matthew T.

If anyone else does have a glass model I would be willing to swap for a large Solido XM in lovely condition and complete with original box! Alternatively there is a Peugeot 605 24v model that is even rarer than the XM! Regards, Matthew T.

Oh no, that's a shame. Pity you can't patch the glass one together, take a mound and cast another in resin.

Many thanks Russ and nice idea but too many pieces unfortunately. Perhaps I could borrow someone else's for the operation!!

Here are some photos of the Solido XM and 605 to tempt any possible candidates!

With regards,

Matthew T.

I bet that it wouldn't take too much imagination to photograph the XM in a setting that would make it appear as if it was a real car.

Where did the glass one come from? were they dealer display items?

LG.

Yes Lawrence the glass models were a promotional toy like the Solido Xm. With regards, Matthew T.

An executive desk toy more like!

I'm sure one will pop on eBay at some point.
