Hello everyone, I'm sorry for this model broken crystal. I have never seen this for an XM in France. I have already seen some car models from the manufacturer Hofbaeur but nothing for the XM.
Do you know who made the model you had?

Many thanks for your response and kind remarks Christian and unfortunately I do not know who made the model. My guess is that is was very likely Hofbaeur as their other models are certainly rather similar. With regards, Matthew T.

Hi Christian,

I believe we met at the ICCCR 2012 in Harrogate England. We all enthused over your immaculate Sable colured XM...especially given the Km it has on the odometer.

Well, it's been done before - it used to be a trick of Marketing departments to create advanced publicity shots.
Note the oil-drums and pallets underneath!

And one of the 'clays' that preceded them - in this case early thoughts for the Rover P6...

Full-size clays were produced too.

Just a brief update on this thread initially to confirm that I brokered a deal with Citro Jim, who very kindly swapped his glass model for my Solido 605! A 'wanted' advert simultaneously went into the Citroenian magazine and I have since ended up acquiring another model, which I initially thought had been painted black and then turned out to be resin! I do not know the origins of the black model, but it looks professionally made and could be unique. Although both models are the same shape, with the black version you do not see the interior features of course that is a bit strange! Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions about the likely origin and purpose of the resin model? With regards, Matthew T.

The black one looks like a Solido modl that has been moulded and then replicated in rather thick resin.

It is an exact replica of the standard glass model Will and I assume has been professionally cast! With regards, Matthew T.

Hi, I've had one of these glass models for years, is there still any interest for it?
