For sale, Anyone interested in the XM's sibling?

Off topic chat about anything you like. Doesn't have to be about XMs (though they will inevitibly come up!). You can even discuss non-Citroens :o in here!

Looks a nice one ! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PUEGEOT-605- ... 2584057071" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

We could play 'spot the difference'....
i'll start with - Brake booster, no LHM tank.

It does have a hydraulic pump though.

...no real style? I'm afraid the design is all a bit too "safe" for me. It's not as daring and doesn't stand out like the XM does, in my opinion.

I did kind like the 607 though.

LG.

You may find a ready market on another forum called Autoshite. They are a, how shall I put it?, 'rum bunch', but their eclectic tastes could well run to a 605. If I was in the market for (another) large and comfy motor, I'd be interested.

It is very clean and all but 4.5k? i'm not that sure. I think the trouble with Peugeot is they made one car but in 7 different sizes and body shapes, they were also very popular which kind of makes them appear more bland than they actually are.

Lovely bodywork and interior - more than can be said for the engine bay!
Peugeot staff must have been sick as parrots when XM was unveiled. No comparison. Which came first?

RTA states that the 605 was launched in September 1989.
So later than the XM.
The UK launch was a year later September 1990.
Shares a basic chassis and engine range with the XM.
Depreciation rate was similar to XM.

Car continued as 607 under the skin, useing the same floor pan, with a curvier body, and front subframe from the ESJ V6 engines was carried on, in the 607 which lived to around 2010 the heater outlet plastic trims were used, the same front seat mount points used, this is possibly why some XM bits are still available...
