I have a set of those GKN Kent wheels on my XJ-S, the wheels all have a date code cast into them, (from memory) mine are 10-74, 11 months before the XJ-S was officially launched. The car pictured above is the launch show car (#153) which was built in mid 1975 (50 cars after mine), but not registered until the Queens silver Jubilee in 1977!, presumably after they had worked out how to get the trim to fit properly.
