As an aside. I had R715JKV for a while. It's RP had it down as built around June 96 though with a mechanical pump.

XMs sales had slowed by that time, which could explain a gap between build and first-registration dates.
Ours (also June 1996) was two-and-a-half years.

95 96 was the change over year from mechanical to lucas epic semi electronic setup..

Thanks boys, I sadly lost out on it now which I m very peeved about but there you are. Talking of pumps. Still on my k21, I'm really stuck about what to do with mine. I m only half sure it's the injector pump and the cost is gonna be 800 for refurbishment and fitting. Surely I can do it another way? Can another pump just be fitted without any set up, if I can get one, and will another pump fit it used by peugeot? Any help appreciated. Once this is done I m sure I can move forward.

Yes another one will. I got a known good one for 60 quid to go on my 2.1 that would simply not run.. I plonked it on.. With no advance setup or accurate timing and it started and ran at 500 odd rpm..

Even xantia pumps will from an early L reg (equvilent 306 also)...

Thanks, now where can I get such a bargain, I need to keep cost down and try to do it myself as I have a long way to go. Of course I have to know it works. Any help please???

Experianced pump removal people can get the pumps off without removing the pully driven by the cam belt. I didn't even have locking bits in as the alloy engine top mount housing stops the pully falling away.

I want to leatn to open clean and re assemble them I've got about 4 bosch pumps here but all don't work one way or another.. YouTube tutorials here I come lol..

I've only got working lucas pumps..
