Unexpected discovery

Rummaging under the dash of my 1995 LHD XM playing a game of hunt the central locking control box (silly of me to do that without instructions, I've since tracked down on here that I should have removed the glove box. But hey, I wanted to be doing something in the sunshine, not sitting indoors on a computer.) I discovered what appeared to be a drop down tray in the passenger footwell. A few minutes pushing and pulling on the latch while trying to gently lever on the edge of the box yielded no results, until eventually I took it into my head to give the latch a twist and the tray released and dropped down. Inside I discovered the car's handbook in German and a nearly full Citroen dealer service history. Bonus!

Hi Derek,
I think the Handbook gives details of . . . where to find the Handbook!
A case of Latch-22 ?

That is good news Derek and I had a similar experience with a rhd car! On a lhd car the fuses are in the same location as the rhd with a small flap providing access. With regards, Matthew T.
