For the first time in 16 years here, we were flagged over by Guardia Civil (Trafico) on a quiet local roundabout the other morning.
Two officers - the one at the front of the car asked for documents (permisio de circulacion), and so I got out of the car and handed him the wallet of papers, plus my driving licence.
Big smile, a thank-you, all in order. And then he, and his colleague at the back, both got out their phones, and proceded to take several photos of the car, obviously enjoying doing it.
"Ekkey-emmay" declared the one at the back, and took another photo of the rear badge.
Could be the last one they'll ever see, I suppose...
