This has appeared on eBay, claims to be a 'rare leather steering wheel' from a Y3 - anyone know what it really is please?

It is an aftermarket steering wheel...Zender, or Muskateer, who supplied bodykits for the XM.

It is rare, but obviously, not original.

Very loosely inspired by the Toyota logo...

"Can you identify this part?" questions come up often on car club forums, and usually I have no idea. I do little jobs on my cars, relying on other people's "how I did this" posts to follow. But I think I can do this one, it's a steering wheel, yes, I'm pretty confident that is what it is.

Citroen did offer a wood rim steering wheel as an option, are we sure this was not on the options list also?

Any identifying marks/numbers on it, Rex?
Looks like a pukka small Citroen badge, similar to that used on ZX steering wheel.

I saw this steering wheel once on XM that was parted out.
It was S1 V6 with full XM body kit(bumbers, side skirts, upper hatch spoiler).
Could be a "Musketier" steering wheel for XM.

There's no photo of the innards with the ad Chris and nothing to identify it on either of the two pics. I quite like it, but not enough to pay 90 quid inc shipping for it and face 30-40% duty on top. Particularly as the seller admits the leather is not 100%!
If I squint at the pics I get the Toyo connection, but I think it has an air of distinctiveness. I found the Musketier website, they do have the XM listed for kits but a click on the link just takes you to a blank page!

Did you find out what spec that car was looked to be a base spec diesel to me originally (simple left hand display and turbo gauge) but I know the eupean spec was sometimes different to ours
